Dovetail was appointed to launch Bürgenstock Hotel & Resort Lake Lucerne, Switzerland following a nine-year, 900 million Swiss Franc development.

It was critical to build awareness ahead of opening and to secure high profile media visits and reviews immediately upon opening.

Dovetail held pre-opening hard hat tours for key editors and publications to showcase the resort plans. A series of press releases provided essential information and secured immediate coverage with titles including The Financial Times, Telegraph and The Times.

The history of the Resort was shared with archives of photography dating back to the 1950's and past guests including Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn and many heads of state from across the world.

A schedule of media visits was organised to ensure the most important of titles were prioritised to generate valuable print and online features across luxury travel, lifestyle, spa, design and trade publications. Sustainable features of the design and build have been highlighted from the opening to the present day with the water from Lake Lucerne pumped up the mountain to the resort to drive the heating and cooling systems, many hundreds of trees planted and excavated rocks and stone integrated into the design of the build to save the impact of haulage from the mountain top.

The Spa and wellness facilities across the Resort were a particular focus with a specialist strategy for The Waldhotel and The Alpine Spa with highly qualified media visits and partnerships. Hosted media included Condé Nast Traveller Spa Editors, Telegraph Luxury, Tatler Spa Guide and Vogue. Dovetail continues to coordinate media activity with the press offices for the Spa brands - Swiss Line, La Prairie and SKIN111.
