Most valuable business advice ever given to you.

Trust your instincts. You can’t please everyone and, most importantly, you don’t need to.

Which brand most excites and inspires you?

I am in awe of how Chanel has become iconic, balancing reinvention with timelessness and always desirable. Hermès is another brand that executes everything brilliantly and with a sense of humour too.

Your most memorable travel experiences

It is hard to narrow it down! Landing into Hong Kong with that vista of the skyline at night is unforgettable; travelling through lesser-known parts of Tuscany discovering tiny restaurants serving the best homemade pasta in the world; traversing the French Alps with my kids dipping our toes into the ice-cold water coming off the mountain (and drinking it too) with incredible views. South of France in the early 2000s when it was oh so chic and Rome - my favourite European city with its fabulous mix of ancient architecture and contemporary buzz. Paxos for unspoilt Greekness, Ibiza for the best bar scene on the planet and Budapest – possibly the most romantic city I have visited so far…
